Over 700 families supported

Clear strategies that work for your family
Parents empowered with tools and support
Regulation that lasts beyond the therapy room
✅ Overwhelm from sensory input
Busy classrooms, noisy corridors, or scratchy clothes leave your child anxious, distressed, or withdrawn.
✅ Daily activities that feel out of reach
Handwriting, getting dressed, or joining play can be a struggle, leaving them frustrated and tired.
✅ Emotions that feel "too big"
Regulation is tough, and what looks like “bad behaviour” is often a child communicating that they are overloaded.
HOW WE CAN HELP
When everyday life feels harder for your child than it should
Celebrating Strengths, Supporting Needs
We understand that what looks like “behaviour” is often a child’s way of saying, “I’m overwhelmed.”
At OT4me, we know how exhausting it feels when every day is a battle with meltdowns, school struggles, or simple tasks that shouldn’t be so hard. We’ve heard from countless parents who feel isolated, blamed, or stuck on long waiting lists, watching their child lose confidence. You’re not alone – and there is support.
Our specialist occupational therapists bring decades of experience across the NHS, private practice, schools, and adoption services. We use sensory integration and trauma-informed approaches to help children regulate, grow their independence, and thrive. Every plan is tailored – whether it’s building motor skills, supporting emotional regulation, or equipping parents and schools with strategies that actually work.
Families across York and beyond have already seen their children find calm, confidence, and joy again. We’d love to help you and your child do the same.

FAQs
1. What issues do you commonly help with?
At OT4me, we support babies, toddlers, children, teens, and young adults who need extra help to overcome barriers and reach their full potential. Many of the children we work with experience burnout, mental health challenges, school non-attendance, sensory processing difficulties, or developmental differences.
We provide comprehensive, tailored assessments and therapy, delivered in our clinic, at home, in preschool or school settings, or through group sessions. Our aim is to help each child build confidence, develop independence, and achieve their goals, creating opportunities that have a lasting impact.
We also focus on helping children become school ready, ensuring they have the emotional, social, and practical foundations to succeed in education and daily life. Families and professionals benefit from our training sessions, which cover topics such as sensory integration awareness, play development, and readiness for school, empowering them to provide effective support.
2. How does OT4me differ from the NHS?
The NHS provides excellent free resources and advice, but families often face long waiting lists and limited hands-on support. At OT4me, we offer more than fast access. We provide a personalised, hands-on approach designed to empower each child’s unique strengths, help them overcome barriers, and build long-term confidence and independence.
